Surratt Beauty Dew Drop Foundation & Plus de Soleil Blush Review

I finally had the opportunity to try Surratt Beauty‘s cult-favorite Dew Drop Foundation and Plus de Soleil palette. And they are so amazing.

I was sent a PR kit for review, and while I’ve heard a lot of great things, I always go into brands with a healthy amount of skepticism because even though some high end brands have incredible products, some others are just okay. So I try not to hype myself up too much.

As I was putting on the Dew Drop Foundation, then the blush and highlighter from Plus de Soleil palette, I was blown away. Like, wow. I seriously felt so fresh and pretty. What more can a girl ask for when trying new makeup? Making us feel so good and beautiful is the only absolute we need with makeup. And any that makes us feel that way instantly achieves holy grail in my books.

Here is my review with some wear test, thoughts, pros and cons, and swatches.

Surratt Beauty Dew Drop Foundation Review

I’ve heard so much about Surratt’s Dew Drop Foundation and it really is as lovely as they say! It has medium coverage but felt so natural on my skin. I was really impressed.

As you can see below, the right photo is my skin with only my Sisley Ecological Compound moisturizer after cleansing, the left is my face wearing the Dew Drop Foundation, no other products, no filter.

My skin isn’t in an awful state or anything, but after putting on the foundation, it just looks so good.

It’s medium coverage, easily blendable, non-streaky. Feels very skin-like. In person, my friends couldn’t tell I had foundation on at all, just that my skin looked naturally perfect.

The Dew Drop Foundation is quite pricey at $75. But 100% worth it for the result imo.

Dew Drop Foundation vs Surreal Skin Foundation Wand Swatch

I wear a 2CR for Dior’s Forever Matte Foundation and that’s a shade I always like to reference when looking at new foundations.

The Dew Drop #4 is a perfect match on my face. The shade balances out the slight redness of my skin with the more yellow tones of my neck. Making everything look cohesive and pretty just so. I love this foundation so much!

For the Surreal Skin Foundation Wand, I wanted to give the #3 a try for more wintery seasons.

It’s just a hint lighter, more noticeable in person and in this swatch, but when worn on the face and photographed, the difference is not super obvious, so I skipped the photo here.

Surreal Skin Foundation Wand Review

The Surreal Skin Foundation Wand gives a more full coverage as compared to the Dew Drop Foundation, which has medium coverage.

I personally prefer the Dew Drop, just because I tend to like a more natural finish. But the high coverage is great if you have a lot of blemishes, as it does a fantastic job of covering those up without the need of a concealer, yet not appearing too thick and heavy.

I love the convenience of the wand, as you just dispense the product from the end like pressing a pen. But I wish there were better mechanisms to lock the pressing so products don’t get wasted. And if the brush was detachable for washing, it would be so much better. Those were my only two wishes with the wand.

I also hope they would consider offering this for the Dew Drop Foundation! I always love more convenience whenever. Cushion foundation was my favorite type of foundation for a long time just because of how compact they are. I hope the team at Surratt has considered this!

Plus de Soleil Face and Cheek Palette

The Plus De Soleil Palette is so pretty.

It may look bright in the pan, but the orange blush (Brilliante Idee), sheer peachy highlighter (Coup de Genie), and subtle bronzer (Chaleur) are super wearable and go very well together. Here are the swatches:

The bronzer especially is relatively matte, so it can be mixed together with the highlighter to have a more shimmery bronze, or be used alone for a very natural looking contour.

The formula is soft and very buildable. Blends out easily.

Below, on the left I’m wearing the Dew Drop Foundation alone, in the picture on the right, I’m using the Plus de Soleil palette.

Overall, I’m super impressed with Surratt Beauty and feel that it has a place in any serious makeup kit. If you want naturally beautiful and high quality outcome, it’s a fantastic investment.
