I received a sample of Sisley’s Ecological Compound in SpaceNK‘s Beauty Advent Calendar a couple years back and fell in love with it so much it became a staple in my routine right after I finished the sample. I wanted to share my thoughts and review here:

Sisley Paris Ecological Compound vs Ecological Compound Advanced Formula

I was checking Sisley’s website when writing this review and saw that apparently, there is a new version of the product called Ecological Compound Advanced Formula.

The version I have been using, the original Ecological Compound, had a complex of 5 plant extracts featuring centella asiatica, ginseng, hops, horsetail, and rosemary. The difference in the new formula is they have added 2 new key ingredients—burdock and meadowsweet extracts. Which the brand claims to help the skin be more resistant and better equipped to defend against harmful effects of environmental pollutions, smoke, free radicals, etc.

According to the brand, Ecological Compound hydrates and nourishes the skin to leave it feeling more comfortable and supple. Skin will feel more balanced, visibly strengthened, and revitalized. Suited for men and women of all ages and skin types. It’s comfortable and non-greasy, feels second-skin-like and leaves the skin matte.

Sisley Paris Ecological Compound Review

I’ve nearly finished my bottle now, and I can say that I absolutely agree with the product claims. I don’t know what magic it is, but this moisturizer is so lightweight, yet manages to hydrate and keep my skin feeling supple and I just generally feel like my skin looks good using it. Definitely a splurge but considering that moisturizer is one of the most staple products in a routine, I eventually went for it and feel that it’s so worth it.

The texture is milky and much more like a lotion or emulsion type of moisturizer. The scent is light and pleasant. The bottle is glass and feels luxurious. Overall just a very pleasant usage experience.

Out of all the moisturizers I’ve tried from drug store to kbeauty, to luxury and niche high end, this is definitely one of my all time holy grails. If you are looking for a lightweight, feel-good, and effective moisturizer, I highly recommend the Ecological Compound.

Compared to when I was in Paris, Sisley’s products are extremely expensive in the US. If you happen to travel and stop by France during a trip, I highly recommend purchasing Sisley products there, as the value is well worth your time.

To purchase in the US, Sisley’s official website has great Gift with Purchase offers worth checking out, alternatively, SpaceNK offers a cheaper rate than most US-based websites since they ship from the UK, and they frequently offer multi-brand Gift with Purchase as well. But if you want to try more Sisley products, I definitely think that their official website is the best bet.
