New Westman Atelier<\/a> foundation product\u2014Vital Skincare Complexion Drops<\/a>\u2014just came out recently. I was super excited to try it out. Here is my review with the pros and cons and wear test pictures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Product Claims<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Drop by drop, Westman Atelier’s Skin Vitality Complex\u2122 improves texture, firmness and radiance with Tsubaki Oil, Ginseng and Pomegranate Extract. Skin is smoother, feels healthier and acts younger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Notes <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A friend recommended Westman Atelier’s previous foundation product\u2014the Vital Foundation Stick<\/a> to me a while ago. So I’ve been really curious as how this serum-strength foundation tint will work out. Here are my thoughts: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Light to medium coverage skin tint 
– Finish is skin-like and gives a beautiful glow 
– It\u2019s very<\/em> dewy
– Balances out redness and takes out small blemishes  
– Has skincare baked in with the strength of a serum. But I didn\u2019t use it long enough to attest to that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Combination\/Oily Skins<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I personally like dewy finishes a lot\u2014I love kbeauty!<\/em>\u2014but even for me this felt like it almost borderlines on being a bit too<\/em> dewy that it could cross over into a potentially oily-looking category\u2014I do have normal-combination skin! But the glow is absolutely<\/em> <\/strong>stunning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think someone with combo-oily skin can still wear this, but perhaps with a dash of mattifying primer or hint of powder to finish off just to keep it under control a little. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the before and after, I’m not wearing any other product, you can see the patchy areas around my nose and under the mouth have been evened out really naturally. And the glow on my cheeks, just *chef’s kiss*. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Skincare in Makeup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In theory I love the idea<\/em> of makeup that has skincare\u2014and it would work for a great number of the population\u2014however, in reality, the people who really care about their skincare already have routines imo. So adding more skincare to makeup only increases the chance of alienating an audience who may be allergic or sensitive to additional ingredients (like me!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, I understand I\u2019m in the minority. But I do secretly wish one day that brands would separate all the niacinamide\/fermented\/gums\/germ extracts into its own versions of existing products. It’s never going to happen but a girl can dream. Don’t get me wrong, I do think this benefits the majority of the population, just not for edge cases like me, haha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Thoughts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Very spreadable, easy to apply and buildable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Super easy to achieve a barely-there natural application. If you\u2019re afraid of overdoing your blushes, this is a great one to work with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– It moved a little too easily for me over the skin tint. It might stay better on a less dewy base. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Got this in the shade Petal, it\u2019s a gorgeous dusty peach pink. Perfect for everyday natural looks! <\/p>\n<\/div>

Westman Atelier Foundation and Blush Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In line with all Westman Atelier’s releases so far, the Vital Skincare Complexion Drops and Baby Cheeks Blush Stick are both very lovely high quality, everyday natural-look products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Westman Atelier’s packaging, is as usual, just absolutely gorgeous too. They do such a good job of making their products into objects of beauty to behold and I can never get enough of that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
